Today our review is dedicated to the yacht GALEON 640 FLY.
The premiere of this model took place in 2018, and managed to collect an impressive list of trophies, including the Motor Boat Award 2019.
GALEON 640 FLY has several outdoor seating areas, that is great for traveling with a large company.

Cockpit can be easily increased by almost 3 meters. Opening sides or “beach mode” is a famous GALEON YACHTS option.

Layout of cabins on the lower deck is possible with 4 cabins or 3 with a huge master cabin in the middle of the yacht. The crew cabin is located in the stern of the boat.
On the water, the GALEON 640 FLY is perfectly controlled and, due to the marine contours of the hull, feels great even with raugh water.

At the top command post, on the flybridge, we have at our disposal two 12 inch RAYMARINE touch displays. Systems of electronic control of the yacht Volvo Penta EVC. Music control. Autopilot control display. Thruster controls. Buttons control transom plates and electronic control knobs gas - reverse. The steering wheel also has an angle adjustment.
The lower control post has everything the same as on the upper one. RAYMARINE displays here are more than 16 inches. Plus, our yacht is equipped with a seakeeper stabilizer and has a control panel. Anchor winch control and chain counter. A feature of the steering wheel here is the ability to adjust its sensitivity to the number of revolutions.
From the lower control post there is an exit to the side passage, which is especially convenient when mooring with a “lag”. The width of the side passages is 35.6 cm and has 2 steps.
In the yacht everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Many lockers for storing everything you need. In the stern of the yacht, the chrome details of the ventilation outlet of the engine compartment look very stylish.
The crew cabin has 2 berths, many windows and everything necessary for life. Microwave, fridge, toilet and shower. Also, a washing and drying machine may be located in the crew cabin.
The engine compartment is very spacious, its height is 1.83 m and free access to all systems for both inspection and maintenance.

The minimum speed of 600 rpm in both tests was 6.2 knots.
The minimum speed at which the boat continues to glide is 12.7 knots.
And with a 10 nodal displacement mode, the flow rate will be 60 l / h, the range will be 312 miles.
At the intersection of a half meter wave with the stabilizer turned off, the stability of the yacht ranged from -3 to 4 degrees, while the value turned on was 0.
Despite the severe disturbance in the water caused by a strong wind, the yacht showed excellent controllability in the limited space of the marina, demonstrating the power of the thrusters.
Most likely, while creating the GALEON 640 FLY, the idea was to create the most innovative yacht up to 20 meters, and at the same time create the impression that the yacht is much larger. And GALEON YACHTS certainly managed to do it.
